The representatives of the Institute for Standardization of Moldova participated in the round table “Product safety and market surveillance under the conditions of pre-accession to the EU”, an event hosted by the College of Administrative and Fiscal Studies. This initiative brought together experts from various fields, with the aim of discussing and aligning national standards with European ones, an essential step in the process of integrating the Republic of Moldova into the European Union.
Among the main topics addressed are the safety of agri-food products, the applicable metrology standards, appropriate marketing strategies for the EU market, as well as the adaptation of the tax-accounting system to European requirements. The importance of connecting the services market to the conditions of the European single market and their impact on the national economy was also discussed.
The Institute for Standardization continues to collaborate closely with national and international partners to ensure a smooth and efficient transition to European standards, thus contributing to the increase in the competitiveness of local products on the international market.
