The Institute for Standardization of Moldova participated in the conference “Valorization of EFTA export markets: opportunities and perspectives”, an important event for Moldovan exporters. The event, organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization with the support of USAID Institutional and Structural Reforms in Moldova (MISRA), marked the launch of the Guide on exporting to member countries of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).
During the conference, it was emphasized that multiple categories of goods from the Republic of Moldova, from agricultural products to information technologies, have export potential on the EFTA markets (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland). This guide provides essential details about the procedures and requirements for accessing these markets, being a valuable tool for Moldovan entrepreneurs who want to benefit from the advantages of the Free Trade Agreement between Moldova and EFTA, which will enter into force in 2025.
The event brought together government officials, economic experts and representatives of the business environment, all focused on expanding export opportunities for Moldovan products.
