The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) participated in the event organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization within the project “EU4 Business: Promoting the common regional market through quality infrastructure and electronic commerce”, co-financed by the EU and BMZ and implemented by GIZ, Fund Regional.
During the event, ISM representatives aimed to present the Report on the analysis in the electrical products sector with an emphasis on LVD/EMC, as well as to present the Report in the “industrial machinery” sector covered by Directive 2006/42/EC, both of which were carried out within the GIZ ORF FT project, supported by local and international experts from OCA Global.
At the same time, the conclusions of the evaluation of the current situation were presented, as well as the recommendations for strengthening the capacities of institutions in the field of quality infrastructure in the electrical products and industrial machinery sector.
Also, during the event, the findings and results of the assessment were presented, which will be used as a reference point for the development of an action plan to strengthen the capacities of institutions in the field of quality infrastructure (metrology, standardization, accreditation, market surveillance), in order to future cooperation and recognition of results for conformity assessment of industrial products among CEFTA parties. It will create opportunities for improved trade in industrial products and cooperation within the CEFTA region and, in the future, potentially with the EU as well.
