World Architecture Day is celebrated on the first Monday in October, in 2023 being marked on October 2. This year’s theme of World Architecture Day is: “Architecture for Resilient Communities”.

The world faces the difficult task of how best to respond to today’s climate and social challenges. This raises the question of the efficiency and adequacy of conventional planning tools for the organization of territories and the production of environmentally and socially respectful architecture.

Standards are essential in architecture to ensure that buildings and constructed facilities are safe, efficient, sustainable, aesthetic and accessible. They establish a regulatory framework and guidance for professionals in the field and contribute to the development of a quality built environment.

Architecture standards can be purchased from the online store of the Moldovan Standardization Institute – https://shop.standard.md
