Cancellation of a GOST standard does not constitute an impediment to exports to a country that still uses that standard.

If an economic agent plans to export sunflower seeds according to the GOST standard, which has been repealed in the Republic of Moldova, but is still in force in a country of the former Soviet Union, the export will be carried out in accordance with the GOST standard which was canceled in Moldova.

In this situation, the manufacturer only needs to ensure that the GOST standard used in the production process is valid in the country where he intends to export.

GOST standards inevitably become incompatible with European ones as the Republic of Moldova adopts European norms, following the commitments assumed in the context of European integration, which leads to their withdrawal and replacement by European standards.
