The Republic of Moldova has adopted a series of national standards for photovoltaic panels, which represents a significant step in the development and promotion of renewable energy sources in this country. These standards were developed to ensure the quality, safety and performance of photovoltaic panels, thus contributing to the consolidation of the solar energy market in the Republic of Moldova. Here are some of the most significant standards adopted:

– SM IEC 62548:2016 Photovoltaic panels (PV). Design requirements;

– SM CEI/TS 62257-7-1:2013 Recommendations for low-power renewable and hybrid energy systems for rural electrification. Part 7-1: Generators. Photovoltaic panels;

– SM EN 60904-1-1:2018 Photovoltaic devices. Part 1-1: Measurement of current-voltage characteristics of multijunction photovoltaic (PV) devices;

– SM EN 60904-2:2017 Photovoltaic devices. Part 2: Requirements for reference photovoltaic devices;

– SM EN 60904-3:2017 Photovoltaic devices. Part 3: Measurement principles for photovoltaic (PV) devices for terrestrial applications including the spectral distribution of standard solar radiation.

The adoption of these standards at the national level in the Republic of Moldova is essential to develop a common frame of reference for all actors involved in the solar energy industry.
