The Republic of Moldova has initiated a series of projects and government policies regarding the exploitation of renewable energy, aiming to reduce dependence on traditional energy sources and contribute to mitigating climate change. The Institute of Standardization of Moldova (ISM), in this context, provides the necessary support to achieve these objectives and provides the involved parties with all the necessary standards.
Thus, through the Energy Strategy 2030, the Government of the Republic of Moldova adopted a long-term Energy Strategy, which includes ambitious objectives regarding the development of renewable energy. The plan focuses on diversifying the energy mix and promotes the efficient use of natural resources, including solar and wind energy.
These initiatives reflect our country’s commitment to developing a sustainable energy sector and helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. By capitalizing on renewable energy, the Republic of Moldova hopes to become more energy independent and contribute to protecting the environment within the global efforts to combat climate change.
