With the adoption of European standards, GOST standards become conflicting with them, considering the commitments assumed by the Republic of Moldova. This inevitable conflict leads to the cancellation of GOST standards over time and their replacement by European standards. GOST standards are a set of interstate technical norms maintained by the Euro-Asian Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification, a regional standardization organization under the auspices of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Replacing GOST standards with European ones brings numerous advantages. This paves the way for access to the Community market, with over 500 million consumers. Markets are also expanding, as some European standards coincide with international ones.
By adopting European standards, the Republic of Moldova benefits from access to the latest knowledge and the most innovative solutions, ensuring the compliance of Moldovan products with the European legislation in force. This leads to an increase in the competitiveness of products on the domestic and foreign markets and brings other significant benefits.
