ISM has adopted a standard dedicated to environmental and water quality management

The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) has adopted a standard dedicated to the management of the environment and water quality in general, which has the role of establishing guidelines regarding the protection and conservation of the environment, as well as the reduction of its negative impact. This standard includes rules on the reduction of pollutant emissions, the proper management of waste and the protection of biodiversity.

With regard to water quality, this standard establishes the requirements for the quality of drinking water and water for industrial use, refers to the physical, chemical and microbiological parameters of water, thus ensuring its safety and potability.

By implementing and complying with environmental and water quality management standards, an efficient and responsible management of natural resources is ensured, contributing to the protection of the environment and ensuring an adequate level of water quality for consumers.
