The management of the Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) took part in the meeting with the representatives of the business environment on “Free Economic Zones in the context of the changes in the concept of the new Customs Code 95/2021”, organized by the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.

The meeting took place within Working Group no. 2 “Facilitating the green transition and cross-border trade”, led by the European Business Association (EBA).

The purpose of the meeting was focused on creating a transparent and open economic climate for effective cooperation between the customs body and representatives of the business environment, considering the new provisions of the Customs Code.

During the meeting, the provisions of the new Customs Code, which will enter into force on January 1, 2024, with an emphasis on the provisions related to Free Economic Zones, were presented and discussed.
