The Institute for Standardization of Moldova, jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the “Tutun-CTC” S.A. tobacco company, held the round table in online format “Benefits of implementing standards in the field of tobacco and tobacco products”.

During the event, topics related to:

  • Support for the implementation of standards in the field of tobacco and tobacco products were addressed;
  • Normative and legislative requirements regarding the export and control activities of tobacco through the prism of the legislation of the Republic of Moldova;
  • The quality of tobacco and tobacco products through the lens of the implementation of standards;
  • The potential and prospects of tobacco cultivation in the Republic of Moldova;
  • The tobacco industry in the Republic of Moldova.

Through this initiative, we were able to stimulate the exchange of ideas and promote the adoption of quality standards in such an important sector for our industry. We thank all participants for their valuable contributions and their commitment to supporting a regulated and efficient environment in the tobacco industry in the Republic of Moldova.
