The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) represents the main effective means by which the business community of the Republic of Moldova can support its legal interests, with the objective of promoting standards in the field and adjusting the relevant legislation. It is an essential tool for strengthening the business environment by imposing normative practices and optimizing the legal framework in accordance with the needs of the economic sector.

Thus, ISM ensures the support of all interested parties by making available international and European standards in the field of renewable resources. In order to facilitate the implementation and harmonization of normative acts at the national level, the Technical Subcommittee CT 49 SC 2 “Devices and systems for converting wind and solar energy into electricity” was established within the ISM within the technical committee CT 49 “Energy Efficiency of Buildings “.

As president of CT 49 SC 2, Mr. Dorin Șerban (Center for Applied Metrology and Certification) was elected, unanimously, as secretary of the subcommittee to Mr. Vladislav Enachi (Standardization Institute of Moldova). At the same time, at the meeting, the intention to connect as an observer member to the international technical committees was expressed and the possibility of connecting as an observer member to the technical committee ISO/TC 180 “Solar Energy” was announced.
