In the Republic of Moldova, the regulatory framework regarding the control of quick-frozen foods intended for human consumption has been improved and aligned with EU requirements.

The main objective of the new changes is to adjust temperature monitoring procedures in transport vehicles and in storage areas for quick-frozen foods. Thus, means of transport are required to be equipped with recording devices to monitor the temperature regularly and frequently, thus ensuring optimal conditions for keeping frozen food. The project also establishes strict requirements for instruments used in temperature control, establishing compliance with certain international standards.

The standards for complying with the provisions of this regulatory framework can be purchased from the online store of the Institute for Standardization of Moldova – https://shop.standard.md/.
