In a joint effort to improve sustainability and energy efficiency in construction, the National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED), together with the Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM), organized a consultation and information session dedicated to energy efficiency in the residential sector and the importance of standardization to ensure the sustainability of investments.

This initiative provided a vital platform for construction contractors, allowing them to familiarize themselves with future CNED projects and preparations for the launch of the Fund for Energy Efficiency in the Residential Sector of Moldova (FEERM) financing program. The participants were also informed about the application of relevant standards and the implementation of effective management systems in the field of construction.

In this context, Andrian Bunduc, the head of the Institute for Standardization of Moldova, emphasized the crucial role of standardization in promoting energy efficiency and energy performance of buildings, as well as in exploiting renewable energy sources and improving the quality of services.
