The National Transport Auto Agency (ANTA) takes a decisive step in the fight against corruption, becoming the first public authority in the Republic of Moldova, issuing permissive acts, to obtain international certification according to the ISO 37001 standard, recognized worldwide for its effectiveness in fighting corruption. This success marks a landmark moment in the consolidation of the public integrity system in the country, integrating the Republic of Moldova among the states that implement concrete measures against bribery and corruption practices.

The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) played an essential role in the initiation and development of this project, providing technical expertise and coordinating the training of ANTA staff. In collaboration with the USAID Institutional and Structural Reforms in Moldova (MISRA) program, ISM has trained a significant number of inspectors and managers within ANTA, preparing them to adopt the best anti-bribery practices. In this process, ISM actively contributed to the dissemination of knowledge and the application of the fundamental principles of prevention and detection of corruption.

In this context, it is worth noting that the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization supported the implementation of the ISO 37001 standard, this being a priority within its corporate governance and integrity policies. Thus, this step represents a vital component in the national strategy of adherence to European values and norms, strengthening the commitment of the Republic of Moldova on the path of European integration. The adoption of these international standards not only improves transparency and efficiency in the management of the public sector, but also promotes a business environment where corruption no longer finds its place.

ANTA will continue to be monitored through periodic audits carried out by accredited international experts, which will ensure the maintenance of certification and demonstrate the constant dedication of the authorities in the prevention of corruption. Thus, the Republic of Moldova is taking concrete steps towards a transparent and integrated public administration, strengthening the trust of citizens and investors in its institutions.
