On 11 February, Europe celebrates European 112 Day, the single emergency number that saves lives and ensures the protection of citizens in critical situations. This day reminds us of the importance of an efficient emergency system that operates at the highest standards.

Standards play an essential role in ensuring the interoperability, quality and safety of emergency services. They guarantee that calls to 112 are answered quickly and the intervention is coordinated and efficient.

In this context, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) significantly contributes to the implementation and promotion of standards that support the national emergency system. By developing and adopting modern technical norms, ISM ensures alignment with European practices and improves the quality of services provided to citizens.

Let us take this opportunity to thank all the professionals working in the 112 system, as well as those who contribute to the development and application of the standards that protect us every day.

112 – One number, one Europe, one life saved!
