Experts from the Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) participated in the seminar organized within the project “Integrating entrepreneurs from both banks of the Nistru River into trade value chains – a trans-river perspective”, supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The event provided entrepreneurs with essential tools for integrating into the European market through the implementation of international standards.
The seminar, which took place on February 26, continued the discussions initiated on February 12 and addressed key issues regarding:
– The importance of European standards for access to foreign markets;
– The role of standards in eliminating technical barriers to trade;
– Strategies for SMEs regarding the implementation of quality and safety standards.
ISM experts emphasized the importance of adopting international standards as a key element for increasing competitiveness and facilitating cross-border trade. They also provided advice to entrepreneurs on the technical requirements and specific regulations needed to ensure the compliance of products and services on the European market.
