Safety standards for gardening and construction equipment – essential at the start of the landscaping season

With the beginning of the landscaping and renovation season, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova draws attention to the importance of adhering to standards for gardening equipment, power tools, and construction materials. The use of compliant products ensures not only efficiency and durability but also user protection against the risks of accidents.

A relevant example in this regard is the standard SM EN 62841-2-11:2016/A11:2024, which sets safety requirements for portable sabre saws. This standard is part of a series of standards dedicated to portable power tools, transportable tools, and lawn and garden machines, contributing to the reduction of workplace accidents and the safe use of equipment.

The Institute for Standardization of Moldova encourages manufacturers, importers, and equipment users to pay special attention to compliance with the current standards to ensure both labor protection and the quality of the work performed.
