June 3 – World Bicycle Day. Promoting Sustainable Mobility through Modern Standards

On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, marked annually on June 3, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova highlights the importance of using European standards to promote sustainable and safe transportation.

A relevant example is SM EN 15194+A1:2023 – Bicycles. Electrically power assisted bicycles. EPAC, which sets technical and safety requirements for electric pedal-assisted bicycles (EPAC), contributing to the development of environmentally friendly mobility.

The adoption and implementation of these standards support innovation, protect consumers, and facilitate the transition to modern urban transport solutions.
