The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) hosted, on 10–11 September 2025, a peer assessment visit carried out in accordance with European standards and practices in the field of standardization. The assessment team consisted of Mrs. Marjetka Strle Vidali (SIST, Slovenia), as lead assessor, and Mr. Konstantin Petridis (DKE, Germany), co-assessor.
Over the two days, ISM’s management and experts presented the institution’s activities, highlighting the measures of transparency, efficiency, coherence, and stability applied in the standardization processes. Discussions also focused on ISM’s compliance with European requirements and the institution’s contribution to strengthening the quality infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova.
At the conclusion of the visit, the assessors provided initial findings, with the final assessment report to be delivered to ISM on 19 September 2025. This evaluation exercise represents an important step in strengthening ISM’s international credibility and advancing the process of Moldova’s European integration in the field of standardization.
