The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) is joining the National Campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,” carried out between 25 November and 10 December 2025 under the theme “A Moldova Without Violence – #NOEXCUSE for digital violence.”

The campaign, initiated at a global level, aims to raise public awareness about the various forms of gender-based violence, especially the abuses committed in the online environment, which are becoming increasingly frequent in a digitalized society. This year’s theme focuses on combating digital violence — cyberbullying, online harassment, non-consensual sharing of images, threats sent through messages, and technological control.

By joining this initiative, ISM reaffirms its commitment to promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment both within the institution and across the wider community. Standardization plays a key role in preventing and combating all forms of abuse, including digital ones, by promoting international best practices related to information security, personal data protection, and the creation of safe digital spaces for all users.
