The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) welcomed a group of Master’s students from the Technical University of Moldova, enrolled in the “Food Safety” program, offering them a hands-on informational session focused on the field of standardization.

This activity, initiated by ISM, is part of the institution’s efforts to strengthen long-term partnerships with the academic environment and to support the training of a new generation of specialists in the food sector. Participants explored the essential role that standards play in ensuring consumer safety and the proper functioning of the food supply chain.

During the visit, the Master’s students discussed with ISM experts the stages of developing and adopting standards, as well as the ways in which these are applied in practice. They also had the opportunity to understand, through concrete examples, the impact of standardization on food quality, safety levels, and the competitiveness of economic operators in the sector.
