The Institute for Standardization of Moldova informs that national standards, as well as adopted European and international standards, are protected by copyright, and their use is governed by the applicable legislation.

Standards are the result of a complex development process based on technical expertise and consensus, requiring significant resources. Copyright protection ensures recognition of experts’ contributions, preserves the integrity of technical content, and supports the sustainable functioning of the national standardization system.

Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of standards is prohibited. Purchasing standards from official sources guarantees access to authentic, complete, and up-to-date documents, thereby avoiding legal risks and technical non-compliance.

The Institute of Standardization of Moldova encourages public authorities, the business community, and professionals to respect copyright in standards and to contribute to the promotion of a culture of quality, compliance, and responsibility.
