The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) participated on 4 February 2026 in the launch of the project “Quality Standards for Increased Trade in the Eastern Partnership II”, initiated by PTB Eastern Partnership. The event also brought together 51 participants from Quality Infrastructure (QI) institutions in the beneficiary countries, including Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.

The new phase project aims to strengthen the Quality Infrastructure (QI) and facilitate access of products and services to regional and European markets by promoting international standards and best practices in standardization, metrology, accreditation, and conformity assessment.

The launch event included presentations of project objectives and key indicators, discussions on strategic directions, thematic sessions on metrology, accreditation, and standardization, as well as planning for future activities.

ISM’s participation emphasizes the institution’s commitment to developing a transparent and reliable standardization system, supporting economic competitiveness and sustainable trade growth in the region.
