On 24 February 2026, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) hosted a study visit for 30 second-year students specializing in PFPT 1416.3 “Merchandising” from the National College of Commerce of ASEM.

The activity, held at ISM headquarters, focused on “The Benefits and Importance of Standardization in the Republic of Moldova” and aimed to familiarize students with the role of standards in ensuring product quality and enhancing competitiveness on both domestic and international markets.

During the session, participants received information about the process of developing and adopting standards, the structure of the national standardization system, and the impact of standards on conformity assessment, consumer protection, and the facilitation of trade.

The interactive presentations were delivered by ISM specialists, who provided practical examples and explanations tailored to the students’ field of study, highlighting the direct link between standardization and professional activity in the field of merchandising.
