The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) organized, via the Zoom platform, an online event entitled “Reorganization of the activities of technical standardization committees in the agri-food and horticultural sector.”
The event was held in the context of aligning the activities of national technical committees with European practices and the need to increase the efficiency of the standardization process in this field. The meeting aimed to facilitate dialogue between public authorities, producers, academia and other interested stakeholders in order to ensure active participation in the process of developing national standards and adopting European and international standards.
A total of 32 participants attended the event, representing public institutions, the business community, academia, professional organizations and ISM specialists.
During the meeting, presentations were delivered on the current activity of national technical committees in the agri-food and horticultural sector, the European model for organizing such committees, as well as the proposal to reorganize the structure through the establishment of the national Technical Committee “Agri-food and Horticultural Products and Methods of Analysis,” with dedicated working groups.
The presentations were delivered by Ana Ghețivu, Director of ISM, Galina Danu, Standardization Specialist, and Vladislav Enachi, Head of the Standardization Department. The event concluded with a question-and-answer session for participants.
