The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) hosted the first meeting of the Standardization Council in its new composition, marking the beginning of a new stage in strengthening the national standardization system.
The meeting was opened by the Director of ISM, Ana Ghețivu, and brought together Council members around key decisions essential for its functioning and strategic direction. During the meeting, the nominal composition and leadership of the Council were approved, thus establishing the premises for coherent and efficient governance.
The agenda also included the approval of tariffs for services provided by ISM, as well as the adoption of the National Standardization Program — a strategic document that defines development priorities in the field and sets out the directions for action in the upcoming period. Participants were also informed about the services offered by ISM and the modern tools used by the institution.
The Standardization Council is the highest collegial governing body of ISM, composed of representatives of interested parties, operating in accordance with Law No. 20 of March 4, 2016 on national standardization and Order of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization No. 148 of October 24, 2025 on the approval of the Regulation on the establishment, organization, and functioning of the Standardization Council.
