The Institute for Standardization of Moldova invites you to an online event titled “Strengthening standardization in the field of wood products and finished and semi-finished wood products: creation of a new technical committee”, which will take place on April 23, 2026, starting at 14:00, via the Zoom platform.

The event is organized in the context of the need to develop the national standardization framework in the wood and furniture sector and aims to initiate the process of establishing a new technical committee aligned with relevant European practices and models. It also seeks to strengthen cooperation among stakeholders — public authorities, business representatives, research institutions, and academia.

The following topics will be addressed during the event:

– European practices regarding the organization of technical committees in the wood and furniture sector;

– the initiative to establish the Technical Committee “Wood and finished and semi-finished wood products”, including the presentation of its vision, objectives, areas of activity, and dedicated working groups.

The participation and contribution of all interested parties are essential to ensure an inclusive and effective process for establishing the new technical committee.
