The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) participated in the international round table “Cross-Cultural and Sectoral Perspectives on ESG Disclosure and Sustainability Reporting”, held on 7 May 2026 within the framework of the European project “STAR – Sustainability Transformation: Research and Innovation Network for Quality Information, Better Sustainability Reporting Practices and Business Resilience”.
The event was hosted by Moldova State University and brought together representatives of academia, public authorities, the financial sector, the business community, and standardization organizations from several European countries.
During the thematic session “Local ESG disclosure practices: cross industry challenges & opportunities”, the ISM representative delivered the presentation entitled “International standards as a tool for implementing ESG principles”.
The presentation highlighted the role of international standards as an essential tool for implementing ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles, contributing to increased transparency, comparability, and credibility of sustainability-related information.
ISM’s participation in this event reaffirms the institution’s commitment to promoting standardization as a strategic factor for sustainable development, organizational transformation, and the alignment of the Republic of Moldova with European best practices and requirements in the field of ESG and sustainability reporting.
