On 15 May 2026, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova organized the constitutive meeting of Technical Committee CT 80 “Chemical Products, Pharmacology and Methods of Analysis”, marking a new step in strengthening standardization activities in the field of chemical products, pharmacology, and methods of analysis.
During the meeting, topics related to the organization and operation of the technical committee were discussed, including the role, responsibilities, and obligations of a standardization technical committee, as well as the relevant European technical committees with which CT 80 could cooperate once the ISM obtains full membership status in European Committee for Standardization and European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization. The importance of involving national experts in the process of developing and adopting standards was also emphasized.
At the same time, the Chairperson and the coordinators of the CT 80 working groups were elected, and their responsibilities and duties for the efficient coordination of technical activities were established.
The establishment of CT 80 represents an important step in the development of the quality infrastructure and the strengthening of the standardization process in the fields of chemical products and pharmacology, facilitating alignment with European practices and requirements.
