On 26 May 2026, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) participated in the PRIA Circular Economy, Fire Safety and Energy Efficiency in Buildings conference, an event dedicated to promoting sustainable construction, energy efficiency, circular economy principles, and fire safety in the construction sector.

The conference brought together representatives of public authorities, academia, experts, developers, architects, investors, and companies from the construction and building materials sectors, providing a platform for dialogue on the transformation of the industry in the context of the Republic of Moldova’s alignment with European Union requirements and practices.

The discussion panels addressed current topics related to the implementation of circular economy principles in construction, waste reduction, building decarbonization, digitalization of industry processes, as well as strengthening fire safety requirements and the use of innovative and sustainable solutions.

ISM’s participation in this event reaffirms the importance of standardization as an essential tool for improving quality, safety, and sustainability in the construction sector, as well as the Institute’s active role in supporting the harmonization of national standards with European and international standards.
