On 11 June 2026, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova organized the constitutive meeting of Technical Committee TC 83 “Electronics”, which will contribute to the development and promotion of standards in the field of electronics.

During the meeting, participants discussed key aspects related to the organization and operation of the committee, including the establishment and definition of the scope of TC 83 “Electronics”, the role, functions, and responsibilities of a technical standardization committee, as well as mechanisms for involving experts in the development and adoption of standards.

The participants discussed and approved the committee’s management structure, with the roles and responsibilities of the Chair, Secretary, and Working Group Coordinators being presented. In addition, opportunities for linking TC 83 to relevant European technical committees were examined, following the acquisition of membership status, with the aim of facilitating the participation of national experts in European standardization activities.
