The Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) held a new working meeting with experts from Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) within the framework of the project Strengthening Quality Infrastructure for EU Accession and Competitiveness in Moldova.”

The discussions focused on three main areas:

  • promotion of World Standards Day 2026;
  • Moldova’s participation in the IEC General Assembly;
  • development of the NQI Cooperation and Coordination Mechanism as an instrument for strengthening cooperation and coordination among stakeholders of the national quality infrastructure.

The meeting addressed a number of practical aspects and outlined the next steps for advancing the activities and ensuring effective and coordinated cooperation.

Through this cooperation, ISM and PTB contribute to strengthening standardization as part of the national quality infrastructure and to aligning it with European practices in support of Moldova’s European integration process.

ISM appreciates PTB’s support and expertise and reaffirms its commitment to continuing dialogue and cooperation in this area.
