On 15–16 September 2026, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova
(ISM) conducted the training course “Standardization Process in an Organization.
Guidelines for Its Implementation”, designed for representatives of the Public
Services Agency (PSA), who had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of
the role of standardization in an organization’s activities and the ways in which it
can be integrated into institutional processes.
Over the two days, participants addressed the general principles and
concepts of standardization and types of standards, the organization and
management of the standardization process within an organization, monitoring and
evaluating the applicability of standards, the risks and benefits of their
implementation, as well as digitalization trends in the field.
Particular emphasis was placed on SM SR 13542:2025, which provides
guidelines for organizing the standardization process within an organization.
Participants also examined the allocation of responsibilities, management of
standardization documentation, monitoring of results, and integration of
standardization into organizational processes.
Through such training activities, ISM contributes to the development of
professional competencies and promotes the effective use of standards in public
institutions, supporting organizations in transforming standardization from a
technical activity into a tool for clearer, more coherent and efficient processes.
