On 1 October 2026, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) participated in Moldova Electronics Forum 2026, taking part in the panel “Standardization. Integration of the Republic of Moldova into EU Value Chains”, which addressed the role of standardization in integrating Moldovan companies into European value chains.

During the discussion, the ISM representative presented recent developments in national standardization, including Moldova’s achievement of full membership in CEN and CENELEC, effective from 1 January 2027, and the responsibilities arising from this status. This milestone will strengthen the Republic of Moldova’s participation in European standards development and further align the national industry with EU market requirements.

For the electronics sector, standardization provides an essential framework for developing safe, interoperable and competitive products, facilitating compliance with European requirements and access to new markets. By adopting European standards and supporting businesses in their implementation, ISM contributes to unlocking innovation potential and integrating Moldovan companies into international value chains.

Moldova Electronics Forum 2026 was organized by the Association of Electronic Industry Companies of Moldova (ACEM), in partnership with the Investment Agency, as part of Moldova Business Week 2026.
