On 21 October 2026, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM)
hosted a meeting of Technical Committee TC 69 “Forensic Science”, focusing on
the development of the committee’s activities and the strengthening of European
cooperation in standardization.
An important topic of the meeting was the proposal to rename TC 69, as
well as the presentation of the European Technical Committees CEN/TC 263,
CEN/TC 325, CEN/TC 368, CEN/TC 388, CEN/TC 391, CEN/TC 419 and
CEN/TC 439, to which the committee could be connected once ISM obtains full
membership status in the European standardization organizations.
Discussions were also held regarding access to the introductory session on
the digital platform for standards development, an instrument reflecting the
international direction of development in the standardization process.
The topics addressed contribute to preparing the committee for new
opportunities for European cooperation and for making greater use of digital tools
in standardization activities.
Through the development of technical committees and the involvement of
national experts, ISM supports the strengthening of the national standardization
system and its alignment with European practices.
