On 23 October 2026, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) held a meeting on the reorganization of Technical Committee TC 74 “Tourism and Related Services”, focusing on strengthening the committee’s activities and expanding the participation of interested stakeholders.

During the meeting, a new secretary was elected, and new stakeholders who could contribute to the committee’s work were identified, including experts and representatives of the tourism and related services sectors.

Committee members were also informed about the opportunity to connect with European Technical Committees starting in January 2027, in the context of ISM obtaining full membership in the European standardization organizations.

Another topic addressed was the presentation of the OSD digital platform, including its purpose, access procedures and possibilities for use in standardization activities.

Through the reorganization of technical committees and by facilitating their connection with European standardization structures, ISM supports the involvement of national experts, the development of European cooperation and the alignment of standardization activities with European practices.
