World Tourism Day

Every year, on September 27, the “World Tourism Day” is celebrated. Its purpose is to create an international community aware of the role of tourism and its impact on the social, political, economic and cultural values of people around the world.

The concept of the holiday resides in addressing the global challenges highlighted in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and questioning how the tourism industry contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

This year, as a call for support and solidarity for tourism enterprises, the “Courage Tourism Moldova” campaign was launched.
