2022 – the European Year of Youth!
The Council and the European Parliament have dedicated 2022 to young professionals in standardization, with the aim of emphasizing the importance of the well-being, development and involvement of young people in society and in policy-making at national and European level.
Young people can bring new, fresh ideas to the standardization work, ensuring that it is up to date and able to identify and foster innovations and new technologies. They can help increase the diversity of the European Standardization System, allowing it to consider new perspectives and be more responsive to the evolving needs of society and the industry.
In this context, the Institute for Standardization of Moldova (ISM) joins the European standardization organizations CEN and CENELEC, which will start a series of activities within the public information campaign, including:
- a series of targeted interviews to young professionals active in European standardization, as experts CEN and CENELEC TCs, researchers involved in standardization or young European innovators, etc.;
- a series of quote cards where a wide range of European stakeholders will be invited to share their views on the importance of young professionals for standardization;
- a mapping of the different projects organised by CEN and CENELEC members with regards to young standard-makers.
Follow the ISM page regularly to benefit from campaign information materials.
