At the Standardization Institute of Moldova (ISM), an important simulation exercise of the external evaluation process of ISM’s activity was carried out, in order to connect it to the requirements of Guide 22 of CEN/CENELEC.
The exercise was carried out by a foreign expert, within the project financed by the European Union “Support for structured political dialogue, coordinating the implementation of the Association Agreement and improving the process of approximation of legislation in the Republic of Moldova”.
Previously, within the same mission, the co-opted expert assessed the activity of ISM in terms of the degree of alignment with the requirements of Guide 22 of CEN/CENELEC, based on the evidence and internal documents held by ISM, and came up with a series of recommendations for improvement the institution’s activity.
The importance of the event derives from the fact that ISM is a companion member of CEN/CENELEC and, together with obtaining the status of a candidate country for EU accession, we aim to obtain the status of full members of Guide 22 of CEN/CENELEC.
