The Institute for Standardization of Moldova held a meeting dedicated to the project “Addressing the impact of the energy crisis in the Republic of Moldova”, financed by the EU and implemented by UNDP Moldova, with the participation of the international consultant contracted by UNDP Moldova.

The objective of the project is the implementation of the normative legislative framework in the energy sector, the strengthening of the capacities of actors in the energy field, the increase of awareness and communication, as well as the operationalization of energy programs at the national level.

During the event, the activities related to increasing the institutional capacities of actors relevant to the energy sector were addressed, including in the field of energy labeling and ecological design.

At the same time, the prospects of starting a workshop for the business environment, the National Accreditation Body, the Moldovan Standardization Institute, relevant ministries, etc., were discussed, regarding their obligations and the requirements for testing products with energy impact that they return, according to the regulatory framework.
